- Call or send a request describing the damage.
- We refer you to an independent restoration contractor licensed by the CSLB who serves your city.
- The contractor contacts you, inspects, and gives you their own estimate. You decide whether to hire them.
- Any contract and payment is directly between you and the contractor.
What we are, and what we are not
We are a referral service. Under California law (Business and Professions Code sections 7026 and 7027.1), contracting work and advertising to do it are for licensed contractors. We do not perform, bid on, or supervise any work, and we do not advertise that we do. We connect you with independent contractors who hold their own CSLB licenses.
How to check a contractor in California
- Look up the license on the CSLB website and confirm it is active and fits the work.
- Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage.
- Get a written contract and estimate before work begins, and read any assignment-of-benefits or direction-to-pay form before signing.
- Ask which IICRC or other training their crew holds and how they document moisture readings.
